Another look at Carla Barajas, this time with her 1300cc GSXR Hayabusa with Nitrous.

This is from a shoot for an upcoming calender for Carla Barajas. She is taking another stab at the 200 mph club at the Bonneville Salt Flats (http://www.bonneville200mph.org/) aboard her 1300cc Busa with nitrous. Look here in the months to come for more sneak peaks at this gorgeous lady.

Normally a slave to perfection or the attainment thereof I often find it hard to shoot lo res. But this image is just too awesome to not post. This is my ladyfriend Marisia Gonzales on a shoot for my good pal Ari Abrams. I snapped this with my Blackberry Tour (3.2 MP) with the flash on. She was all made up for a runway show later that night so we both took adavantage of the situation to get some sweet shots of her looking her best. Here is mine.

The Vortex

This was shot at Leadbetter Point in Santa Barbara, CA. I have been shooting at this particular spot for a little over two years now and have built up quite a few shots of various long exposure wave shots. This was shot looking west out towards San Miguel island. I got there around 8:30am which is quite late compared to my normal shooting time here which is around 4am. I had just purchased a 3 stop ND filter which I thought might be sufficient to allow me to shoot long exposures in daylight. In order to get this shot I had to stack my circular polarizer on top of the ND filter. I had a very short window of time to capture anything in the 1.5 to 3 second range which is what I find most complimentary of this spot as it shows some of the wave action instead of just having a more flat serene look that is gained from the longer exposures.

Mt. Williamson as seen from the roadside along the CA 395. This stretch of road is in my personal top 5 for sheer epic beauty.
